Welcome to Falcon Cove Retreat, a tranquil getaway tucked into the trees just steps from the Pacific Ocean. Drive down the quiet, tree-lined road into the peaceful Falcon Cove community of Arch Cape, and you'll arrive at our cozy 1969 Midcentury Modern A-frame cabin — a beautifully remodeled retreat where rustic charm meets modern luxury.

Located at the southern end of Arch Cape and adjacent to Oswald West State Park, the cabin is just a 2-minute walk to the beach — close enough that you can hear the waves from the front door. Step outside and you're surrounded by miles of scenic walking trails through one of Oregon's most stunning stretches of coastline. We're also only two miles from Smugglers Cove (also known as Short Sands), one of the state's most popular destinations for surfing, hiking, and tide-pooling.

Inside, the cabin is intimate and inviting. Vaulted A-frame ceilings, warm wood accents, and thoughtfully chosen furnishings create that signature midcentury cabin feel — the kind of place where you actually want to put your phone down. A queen bed sits in the downstairs sleeping area, with a second queen tucked into the cozy loft above. Both spaces are open and airy, designed to lean into the cabin's intimate character. Luxury linens, a fully equipped kitchen with cookware and modern appliances, and high-speed Wi-Fi mean you'll have everything you need for a comfortable stay — whether you're here for a long weekend, a honeymoon, or a slow, restorative escape.

Outside, the experience only gets better. Step onto our huge custom deck — nearly as large as the cabin itself — to grill, dine al fresco, or simply sit and listen to the wind in the trees. Soak in the private hot tub, sweat it out in the dry sauna, and feel the stress of everyday life melt away. It's the kind of place that turns a weekend into a memory.

Falcon Cove Retreat is ideal for couples, small groups, and adventurers looking for a true Oregon Coast escape — close to Cannon Beach and Manzanita when you want to explore, but blissfully tucked away when you want to disappear into the trees. Whether you're chasing waves at Short Sands, hiking the headlands of Oswald West, or simply soaking in the hot tub under the stars, Falcon Cove Retreat is your front-row seat to one of the most beautiful corners of the Pacific Northwest.

Falcon Cove is such a gem! We had never visited this beach and it was private and beautiful. We used the sauna, hot tub, outdoor shower every morning—it was dreamy. We will definitely be booking again!

Beautiful location with a short walk to the beach! So many sand dollars on the beaches. The hot tub and sauna were amazing and easy to use. My family and I loved are stay over Father’s Day weekend.

I stayed at Karen's place with my brother and sister over a long weekend and we have the time of our lives. The location of the cabin is incredible - short walk to a beautiful beach and short drive from cannon beach and several amazing hikes. The cabin is in a state park and the backyard is essentially a beautiful forest. It was rainy for most of the time, which meant getting cozy in the sauna, hot tub, and by the wood fire. The kitchen is pretty small but we still managed to make all our dinners at the house. I brought my dog and she had a great time on the beach and relaxing by the fire. All around, a wonderful experience.

I hesitate to write this raving review of Falcon Cove, and the conscientious, kind and intentional hosting done by Karen and Kurt, as I selfishly want to be able to utilize it again and again without fearing it will be booked. However, because this stay was so deeply spiritual, it does not feel right nor reciprocal to not share a glimpse of what I received. The space is truly Divine. Sleeping upstairs under a canopy of pines and bright green foliage felt like dreaming in a grown up tree house. Hearing the ocean from the loft breezing in was heavenly. To soak while being serenaded by bird song, to warm up in the sauna after beach combing, and to weep a little at how deeply this place ministered to my soul, spirit, body and mind is to only tiptoe its sacred surface. It is truly a coastal oasis worth honor, respect …and also leaving it available for me when I return (wink, wink, hint, hint). Thank you Karen and Kurt. May you receive in fullness all that this place gifted to me. Namaste.

The property was cozy and quaint—a cabin in the woods with all the amenities. The walk down to the beach was magical. The location was in the middle of everything we wanted to see while we were in town.
